A Language of Others

A Language of Others was created in 1997 by Alex Rigg of Transfigured. It attracted much attention through the bold combination of commissioned music, sculptural environments and experimental dance performed by over 40 artists.

"I’ve left Tramway after watching some foreign company perform some massive excursion into epic poetic work. And I’ve wished we could have some home-grown equivalent to match it. A Language of Others makes that wish come true" Mary Brennan, The Herald

Beckett Time

Beckett Time, an international multi-art form festival celebrating the life, work and legacy of Samuel Beckett. With over 15 performances, films and events, a conference and public interactive programme Beckett Time showcased work from Belgium, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan and Scotland in 2000.

"Cryptic’s programme brings together an astonishingly eclectic mix of dance and puppetry, film and debate, exhibitions and new performance work, in what promises to be a fascinating cross-media celebration of Beckett’s artistic legacy" The Scotsman

Opening of the IMAX Cinema

Cryptic Productions was commissioned for the Gala Opening of the IMAX Cinema, Glasgow. The space was transformed internally and externally by lighting from Graham Gardner and sound installations by Alistair MacDonald, giving audiences a visual and aural experience unique to this opening event.
